Corruption in Afghanistan:
A possible solution

Using a highly talented team of mainly Afghan researchers, Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) focuses strongly on the ownership by Afghans of the anti-corruption effort with impressive results.

IWA is part of the Network for Integrity in Reconstruction (NIR), which works in seven post-war countries to monitor aid and reconstruction, and share knowledge and experiences in order to reduce the chances of reverting to conflict.

About IWA
Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) is to date one of the few and possibly the most relevant civil society organisations to focus on research, monitoring and advocacy on anti-corruption and pro-integrity work in Afghanistan, both in Kabul and through networks with sub-national and community based organisations in a variety of districts. IWA was founded in May 2006 with the mission to increase transparency, integrity, and accountability in Afghanistan through policy-oriented research, monitoring and training for the facilitation of policy dialogue.

About Tiri
Tiri is an independent non-governmental organisation that works with governments, business and civil society to find practical solutions to making integrity work.
In 2005 Tiri initiated the Network for Integrity in Reconstruction (NIR), working with NGOs from post-war countries and international donor and non-governmental partners to address the particular integrity and accountability challenges and opportunities of post-war reconstruction.
